Quick Patchwork Quilt Class with Jennifer - Sebastian

Start your new year off right and learn to quilt! Join Jennifer in this Quick Patchwork Quilt edition of our traditional Beginner Quilting class! We’ll use a charm pack pre-cut to create your patchwork top, quilt and bind so that you have an adorable quilt you’ll be proud of. In class 1, we focus on creating the quilt top, adding our borders and get started on quilting. In class 2, we trim our quilt top and add machine binding. This class is perfect for those who’ve already taken Beginner Quilting and want a quick refresher of core concepts. Or for the sewist who’d like to make a quilt to get started with the basics. So, grab a charm pack, some coordinating fabrics and let’s help you cross off this New Year’s resolution!

Student Pre-Class Prep: Your patchwork quilt will use 42 charm squares. BEFORE class, open your charm pack and lay out your squares in a grid format with 7 rows and 6 columns. Once you have your squares arranged how you like, stack your squares together by column. Start each column stack with the first row and work your way down to the last 7th row. Label your stacks by the column number.
