Computer Basics for Embroidery Software Class with BJ- Sebastian

Come learn how you can utilize your computer with machine embroidery and embroidery software (students are expected to know basic usage and functions of the computer). Some of the topics we will cover are: * How to download an embroidery file. * How to move the file from your Downloads folder to a location on your computer so that you can find it. * How to unzip a file that has been zipped. * How to move an embroidery file from computer to a USB drive so that you can take it to your embroidery machine.

In this class you are going to learn how to navigate/use Tool Shed Plus software (If you don't own Tool Shed Plus you can use the trial version. You just cannot save any work) Our goal is to cover the following: * Read and write to different formats * Group and Ungroup a design * Resize a design * Changing colors * Some Texting If time permits: * Understanding Sequence order of a design * Placement of parts of the design

Sewing 1 is a slower paced, new machine owner beginner class to get to know the basic functions of your sewing machine. We will sew a small lined drawstring pouch as we apply and practice common techniques used when sewing. If you have specific questions about your machine, your instructor will review with you as time permits, after the class ends.

It is assumed you have completed Sewing 1 prior to this class, are familiar with the basic usage of your sewing machine and the part names. We will go over how to use common presser feet as we sew together a zipper pouch. Please be sure to bring ALL the presser feet that came with your machine. If you have specific questions about your machine presser foot or its usage, your instructor will review with you as time permits, after the class.
